- Sahar Aziz, Distinguished Professor of Law and Chancellor’s Social Justice Scholar at Rutgers Law School, where she founded and directs the Center for Security, Race, and Rights. She is the author of The Racial Muslim: When Racism Quashes Religious Freedom.
- Eric McDaniel, a professor in the Department of Government and the codirector of the prelab. His research examines how the intersection of race and religion influence the American political landscape. He is the author of Politics in the Pews: The Political Mobilization of Black Churches.
